pony4food: Bali, Indonesia | 20

Hello! I just realised it's been 8 months since I actually blogged. I actually miss blogging and making youtube videos but I've been so busy. Promise I'll try to update this space more often hehe. Anyway, 4 months into 2017 and I've actually visited Bali, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Macau! So I'm gonna share with y'all some of the photos I took in Bali.

I went there for 5D4N and it was a school trip so our itinerary were pretty much preplanned for us. In total there were 20 students, 2 teachers and 2 tour guides (one from SG travel agency and the other is a balinese). It was my first time going on an overseas trip with school because I'm a scaredy cat but I'm super glad I came back SG alive LOL.

Day 1

At the airport, with 4 of my classmates! The rest of the students were from another course.

Anyway, it was my first time flying on Air Asia and I wasn't impressed by their service. I know I shouldn't expect much from a budget flight but they looked unfriendly. The worst thing was there weren't enough food and they served the food in a first come first serve basis so the front rows managed to get proper airplane food whereas the back rows got instant noodles. And lucky me got the last box of nasi lemak!

Day 1 lunch was nothing but horrible. When I saw the food I almost cried and texted my mom "I wanna go home" LMAO. I am a fussy eater and I don't eat fish or beef. But sadly, every meal in Bali had fish/beef/chicken. In the end I barely ate anything for lunch.

Dinner was okay. Just okay.

Day 2

We stayed at Max One Hotel (in Ubud) for the first 3 nights and I really liked this hotel. It was clean and the breakfast buffet was decent.

Anyway, I realized there were offerings at every corner of everywhere I went in Ubud. Be careful not to step on them!

Lunch for day 2 was meh. I think I only ate the hard boiled eggs and fruits. The veg tasted weird af.

After lunch we went to visit the Green School and the tour guide brought us around. Anyway, the thing I hated most about Bali was that there were chickens EVERYWHERE. I am scared of chickens (typing this out is giving me goosebumps) and I think I was brave enough to walk past a lot of chickens in Bali although I closed my eyes and held my friends throughout.

Dinner for day 2 was amazing. We had grilled prawns, sambal kang kong, grilled fish and fried chicken.

We ordered fried ice cream and grilled corns too, but we paid for them ourselves as the menu has been decided by the travel agency in advance.

I was looking forward to tasting Bali's grilled corns but this sucked :(

Day 3

We went to be farmers and I did a pretty good job hahaha.

We had buffet for lunch on day 3 and it was sooo yummy. Although I felt like puking after farming (I think the cow dung was too smelly), I managed to eat a bit.

After farming, we went to a bamboo weaving workshop and they provided yummy goreng pisang.

Dinner for day 3 was yummy too!

I loved the keropok in Bali I swear. Should've brought some back to SG!

Day 4

We went to a silver making workshop, and were asked to design and make our very own silver ring!

We travelled to Kuta on day 4 and we had our last lunch in Bali! There were even crabs
but it tasted horrible la omg. Worst crabs I've ever tasted in my life.

After lunch, we did a bit of shopping then we went the Dream Museum Zone which is like the Trick Eye Museum in Singapore.

After DMZ, we went to Discovery Shopping Mall. If I'm not wrong, it is one of Bali's most famous shopping mall and I also visited Kuta beach.

Lastly, we went for dinner and headed to our second hotel for this trip, Fontana Hotel. Tbh, I really hated this hotel. The toilet flush wasn't working, the water was soapy (I took forever to shampoo my hair) and the hotel felt nothing but CREEPY. Our beds were directly facing a mirror/dressing table and I just didn't feel good la. Plus the dressing table looked really old and creepy. Nonetheless, the hotel looked really beautiful.
